Welder/Fitter
We are currently hiring an experienced Welder/Fitter to join a metal fabrication or manufacturing team in the GTA. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading blueprints, fitting metal components, and welding using various techniques to assemble structural or custom metal products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Lay out, fit, and tack-weld components according to specifications.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on steel, aluminum, or stainless steel parts.
- Inspect welds and assemblies for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
- Operate grinders, torches, saws, and other fabrication tools.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as a welder/fitter in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong knowledge of MIG and/or TIG welding processes.
- Skilled in fitting and assembling fabricated metal parts.
- Ability to work from drawings and welding symbols.
- Familiarity with tools such as grinders, cutting torches, and measuring instruments.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy components.
- Safety-conscious and able to follow all safety protocols.
