Cabinetmaker – Commercial Millwork
We are seeking an experienced Cabinetmaker with a background in commercial millwork to join a dynamic team serving clients across the GTA. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and skilled in interpreting shop drawings to fabricate high-end custom cabinetry and millwork for commercial spaces such as offices, retail stores, healthcare, and institutional buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, debone, and prepare various types of meat including beef, pork, lamb, and poultry.
- Follow customer or production specifications for portion sizes and special orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of cutting tools, work surfaces, and refrigeration units.
- Monitor meat quality, freshness, and storage conditions.
- Properly wrap, label, and store products for retail display or wholesale distribution.
- Operate meat saws, grinders, slicers, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all health, safety, and food handling regulations.
- Interact with customers or sales staff in a friendly and professional manner (if in a retail environment).
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a meat cutter or butcher (retail or processing plant).
- Knowledge of various meat cuts, trimming techniques, and safe handling practices.
- Ability to work with knives, saws, and other cutting tools.
- Physically fit, able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in cold environments.
- Attention to detail, cleanliness, and quality.
- Basic math and reading skills for labeling and following instructions.
