Industrial Millwright Technician
We are seeking a licensed and experienced Industrial Millwright Technician to support machinery installation, maintenance, and repair in a high-paced industrial or manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime, and supporting ongoing plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery, mechanical systems, and automated equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, motors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Align and calibrate equipment using appropriate tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and blueprints.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts usage.
- Work collaboratively with electricians, engineers, and production staff.
- Follow all health and safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Millwright License (433A) is required.
- 10+ years of experience as a Millwright in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various industrial environments.
