Aerospace Quality Control (QC) Inspector
We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector with aerospace manufacturing experience to ensure all components, assemblies, and final products meet strict industry standards. The ideal candidate will be skilled in using precision measuring tools, interpreting technical drawings, and documenting inspection results in accordance with aerospace quality systems (AS9100, ISO 9001).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process, final, and receiving inspections of machined parts, sheet metal components, and assemblies.
- Verify product conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges, CMM).
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure all activities comply with AS9100/ISO 9001 standards and internal procedures.
- Assist with First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 standards.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in quality inspection within the aerospace or precision manufacturing sector.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Skilled in the use of inspection equipment and hand tools.
- Strong understanding of aerospace quality systems (AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Experience with documentation, non-conformance reporting (NCR), and quality audits.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, ERP/QMS systems).
