Industrial Engineering Technician
We are seeking a detail-oriented Industrial Engineering Technician to support production efficiency, process improvements, and manufacturing systems within a dynamic industrial or manufacturing environment in the GTA. The ideal candidate will assist engineers and operations teams by collecting data, optimizing workflows, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of efficient manufacturing processes, layouts, and workflows.
- Collect and analyze time studies and production data to identify areas for improvement.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
- Prepare and update process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production processes to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Assist with tooling, fixture, and equipment design coordination.
- Support cost reduction, productivity, and quality improvement projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve operational issues.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Certificate in Industrial Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering setting.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, workflows, and productivity tools.
- Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with CAD or ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and production layouts.
