CNC Machinist / Programmer
We are currently seeking a CNC Machinist/Programmer with hands-on experience in setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines (Mill and/or Lathe) for precision manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interpreting engineering drawings and programming using G-code and CAM software (such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or others).
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines to produce precision components.
- Create and modify CNC programs using CAM software or manual G-code editing.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols to determine machining strategies.
- Select and install proper tooling, fixtures, and materials.
- Perform first-off inspections and adjust setups as required to maintain tight tolerances.
- Monitor production runs and make adjustments to ensure consistent quality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and maintain cleanliness of machines and work area.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist, including programming responsibilities.
- Proficiency in CNC machine operation (3-axis/5-axis mills, lathes).
- Skilled in G-code and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings with GD&T.
- Experience working with a variety of metals (aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
