Wood Finisher
We are currently hiring an experienced Wood Finisher to join a reputable commercial millwork team in the GTA. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and hands-on experience with a variety of finishing techniques to enhance the look and durability of custom woodwork used in commercial interiors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding, filling, and repairing wood components.
- Match stains and finishes according to project specifications or sample references.
- Perform touch-ups and finish repairs on completed pieces as needed.
- Inspect finished products for consistency, quality, and compliance with design requirements.
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions in the spray booth and finishing area.
- Track materials used and communicate supply needs to supervisors.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in wood finishing, preferably in a custom or commercial millwork environment.
- Strong knowledge of finishing materials, surface preparation, and application techniques.
- Experience with spray equipment and other finishing tools.
- Ability to read and follow technical specifications or sample finishes.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and lift wood products as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
